According to Marca, Cristiano Ronaldo will sign a £175m-a-year deal with Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr before the year runs out.

The 37-year-old’s contract at Manchester United was terminated earlier this month after he slated the club in a bombshell interview with Piers Morgan.

Ronaldo – who is currently in Dubai – was linked with the Saudi Arabian club before the 2022 World Cup in Qatar but refused to comment as he was focused on the tournament.

According to Marca, Al-Nassr is interested in signing Ronaldo before the end of the year and has made the 37-year-old a staggering £175m-a-year deal to secure his services.

The lucrative deal will reportedly keep Ronaldo at the Saudi Arabian club until at least 2025 and could be extended.

According to reports, Ronaldo and his family are awaiting confirmation of the arrangement, which also involves advertising agreements, in Dubai.

The Portugal international turned down a move to Saudi Arabia last summer, but he now appears destined to make the move after receiving no firm interest from Europe’s top teams.

One of the most successful clubs in Saudi Arabia is Al-Nassr, which has won the nation’s top league nine times, the most recent of which was in 2019.
