At Bode Saadu in the Moro Local Government Area (LGA) of Kwara State, there was a fire disaster that resulted in 25 fatalities and approximately 15 injuries of varied degrees.

An 18-seater bus, a heavy-duty vehicle, and a petrol tanker with the registration number JJN 17 XW collided at Peke village along the Oko-Olowo, Bode Saadu Motorway in the Moro LGA at approximately 3:18 p.m. on Tuesday, sparking the fire disaster.
