The United Arab Emirates has directed all schools across the country to transition to remote learning for the remainder of the week following a series of attacks.

The decision was announced on Monday by the UAE Ministry of Education in a statement shared on social media.

“The Ministry of Education announces a decision to shift to a remote learning system starting from Tuesday, May 5, 2026, until Friday, May 8, 2026,” the statement read.

The move is aimed at ensuring the safety of students and staff while authorities respond to the recent security incidents.
