CBN TO FREEZE BANK ACCOUNTS WITHOUT BVN, NIN STARTING APRIL 2024
Beginning in April 2024, accounts lacking a Bank Verification Number (BVN) or National Identification Number (NIN) would be frozen, according to the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
This is in line with a Friday communication from the apex bank stating that a verification of a BVN or NIN will be “conducted shortly.”
