
LNSC APPREHENDS SCHOOL FURNITURE BURGLAR
Officers of the Bariga Command of the Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Corps (LNSC) have apprehended a suspect who was caught stealing window aluminium frames and ceiling railings from Archdeacon Adelaja Primary School, Bariga recently.
Speaking on the development, the General Manager of LNSC, Prince (Dr.) Ifalade Oyekan stated that the suspect, one Olumide Michael, a 20-year-old male of no fixed address, was spotted by operatives on Monday at about 10.00 am around the vicinity of the school carrying compressed windows and ceiling railings in a red sack, which he later confessed to have removed from the school to sell.
While disclosing that his accomplice was said to have bolted upon sighting the officers, Oyekan said the accused has been handed over to the Divisional Police Officer at the Nigeria Police Force, Divisional Headquarters, Bariga for further investigation and prosecution.
The General Manager reiterated the need for residents to be more vigilant and report all illegal activities seen in their community for a safer and secured Lagos, adding that Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu’s commitment to a peaceful and secured State goes beyond rhetorics.
