Waheed Ayilara, the Akwa Ibom Commissioner of Police, has died.
Ayilara died early Thursday at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) in Ikeja.
According to family sources, he had prostate cancer surgery on Wednesday and died hours later.
” We are very sad to inform you that our friend, brother and family, the Commissioner of Police for Akwa Ibom State, Waheed Ayilara is dead,” the family member said.
