BIG BROTHER ANNOUNCES FINAL PRIZE MONEY AS HOUSEMATES’ SPENDING REDUCES POT TO N80 MILLION
By Aishat Momoh. O.
Big Brother on Sunday revealed how housemates’ activities, indulgences, and strategic decisions throughout the season had impacted the overall prize money, leaving a final total of ₦80 million for the Season 10 winner.
During the live briefing, the housemates were gathered in the lounge as Big Brother displayed a detailed breakdown of their financial earnings and deductions, reminding them that every comfort, privilege, and personal request in the house came at a cost.
According to the breakdown, the house accumulated earnings from sponsored tasks such as Sips & Strokes (₦6.5 million), Walking on Eggshells (₦2.6 million), Big Brother’s Bakery (₦800,000), Bodycare Products (₦2.6 million), Big Brother’s Daycare (₦3.5 million), and Splash & Dash (₦2.48 million).
However, several personal indulgences and strategic moves significantly reduced the total prize pool. Kaybobo, for instance, spent ₦10 million to secure immunity during the “Red Phone Twist,” while Koyin’s family visit and hair styling session also came at a financial cost to the house.
Big Brother’s revelations sparked laughter and disbelief among the finalists as it was further disclosed that shawarma orders, a three-day luxury experience enjoyed by Joanna and Dede, and other indulgences had contributed to the deductions. Kola, however, humorously declined a pedicure and manicure session.
After all calculations, Big Brother announced that the total remaining prize money stands at ₦80 million a twist that has heightened anticipation among fans ahead of the much-awaited Season 10 finale of Nigeria’s biggest reality TV show.
