A subsequent raid of the area led to the arrest of five suspects believed to be directly involved in the attack and killing. Police also recovered several arms, ammunition, and other exhibits from the suspects and their operational vehicle a Toyota Avalon with registration number KTU 610 JB.

Recovered items include one locally-made pistol, two pump-action guns, 52 live cartridges, two expended cartridges, a cutlass, an HP laptop, multiple mobile phones, and an international passport bearing the name Ekomafe Gregory Dickson.

The statement noted that all exhibits have been documented as part of ongoing investigations. The suspects remain in police custody and will be charged to court upon completion of the investigation.

Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, CP Olohundare Jimoh, commended the operatives for their professionalism and swift response. He assured residents of continued efforts to dismantle cult networks across the state and prevent further violence.

Jimoh urged Lagosians to remain law-abiding, security-conscious, and to report suspicious activities to the nearest police formation.
