President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated former Vice President Namadi Sambo on his turbaning as the Sardaunan Zazzau by the Emir of Zazzau, Alhaji Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli, scheduled for Saturday, October 11, 2025.

In a statement issued on Friday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu described the conferment as a reflection of the Emirate’s confidence in the former Vice President’s wisdom, integrity, and commitment to societal progress.

The President noted that the traditional title of Sardaunan Zazzau holds deep cultural and historical importance in Northern Nigeria and represents honour, leadership, and service to humanity.

He commended Sambo for his humility, statesmanship, and dedication to national development, describing the recognition as well-deserved.

“The title reflects the Emirate’s confidence in the former Vice President’s wisdom, integrity, and commitment to society’s progress. It is a recognition of his exemplary leadership and contributions to national development,” Tinubu stated.

The President also lauded the Emir of Zazzau for maintaining the noble tradition of celebrating individuals whose character, patriotism, and service reflect the values of unity and integrity cherished by the Emirate.

While wishing the former Vice President success in his new traditional role, President Tinubu encouraged him to continue mentoring the younger generation and to collaborate with traditional and community leaders to promote peace and development across the nation.
