All eyes will be on Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, October 12, 2025, as Ghana national football team take on Comoros national football team in a decisive FIFA World Cup qualification clash.

The Black Stars, currently topping Group I with 22 points from nine matches, are looking to seal their fifth World Cup appearance and third consecutive group-stage win. Ghana heads into the encounter with impressive momentum, having recorded back-to-back victories over Mali and the Central African Republic.

In their last match, Ghana dismantled the Central African Republic 5–0, with goals from Mohammed Salisu, Thomas Partey, Jordan Ayew, Alexander Djiku, and Kamal Deen Sulemana. Their strong home form and attacking firepower make them favorites heading into this tie.

Comoros, meanwhile, have endured mixed fortunes in recent fixtures, winning two and losing three of their last five matches, including a 2–1 defeat to Madagascar in their previous qualifier.

Jordan Ayew remains Ghana’s standout performer, boasting 7 goals and 7 assists in nine matches, while Thomas Partey, Mohammed Kudus, Antoine Semenyo, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, Alexander Djiku, and Kamal Deen Sulemana are expected to play key roles.

Comoros will rely on the pace and creativity of Rafiki Said and the attacking threat of Myziane Maolida, who bring valuable experience and skill to the squad.

Ghana leads Group I with 22 points, three points ahead of Madagascar. Comoros sit in fourth place with 15 points, level with Mali. A win for Ghana would cement their position at the top and bring them closer to booking their ticket to the 2026 FIFA World Cup in Mexico, Canada, and the United States.

The match kicks off at 7 p.m. local time at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Head-to-Head: Ghana and Comoros have met four times Ghana have won once, Comoros twice, and one match ended in a draw.
