ACTOR YOMI FABIYI CLAIMS TO POSSESS VIDEO OF MOHBAD’S ALLEGED KILLING, URGES PRESIDENT TINUBU’S INTERVENTION

Nollywood actor Yomi Fabiyi has alleged that he is in possession of what he described as a video showing how late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, was killed.
Fabiyi made the claim in a video posted on social media, where he also appealed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to intervene in the matter. He stated that the alleged footage was sent to him in what he believed was an attempt to extort him.
“President Bola Tinubu, I wrote to you in May 2025 that Mohbad was murdered. Part of the video was sent to me in an apparent attempt to extort me. Your office wrote and gave a directive to the Inspector General of Police that they should investigate, harmonise, and prosecute,” Fabiyi said in the video.
According to him, investigators at the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID), Abuja, had reviewed the case file and, as of November 2025, identified key suspects allegedly involved in a cover-up. He claimed that the deceased singer’s wife had also turned herself in to authorities in Abuja during the process.
“Now they want to cover it up. They are even asking the same suspects to write a petition against me over illegal arrests,” he alleged.
Fabiyi further accused some police officers of attempting to intimidate him because of the evidence he claimed to be holding.
“This suspect wants to silence me because they want to use the video against you. I don’t know why it is wrong to be loyal to your government. I am putting my life on the line to stand by this government and to speak the truth,” the actor added.
His remarks have since sparked widespread reactions on social media, with many users urging him to submit the purported evidence to appropriate investigative authorities rather than making emotional appeals online.
The police are yet to officially respond to his allegations.
