POLICE LAUNCH MANHUNT AFTER WOMAN FOUND DEAD IN ONDO HOTEL ROOM

The Ondo State Police Command has commenced an investigation into the death of an unidentified woman whose lifeless body was discovered in a hotel room in Ore, Odigbo Local Government Area of the state on Wednesday.
The woman was reportedly found dead at the hotel located along the Ore–Okitipupa Road. The unidentified man who checked into the room with her earlier in the day was nowhere to be found when hotel staff arrived at the scene.
A hotel worker, who requested anonymity due to the sensitivity of the case, told our correspondent that the pair had been seen together upon arrival.
“The two were seen together earlier in the day, but when a worker of the hotel got to the room, the lady was seen lifeless on the bed, and the man could not be found,” the source said. “It was the staff who raised the alarm, and the incident was immediately reported at the police station in Ore.”
According to the source, there were no visible signs of injury or struggle in the room.
Confirming the development on Thursday, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Olayinka Ayanlade, said investigations had begun and efforts were underway to locate the fleeing suspect.
“Yes, the incident happened, and we have begun an investigation. Efforts are ongoing to arrest the fleeing suspect,” Ayanlade stated.
The deceased’s body has been deposited at a hospital morgue in the area.
The police have urged anyone with relevant information to come forward to assist with the investigation.
