The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Gboko Local Government Area of Benue State, Terfa Iorgiilim, has reaffirmed his support for Governor Hyacinth Alia’s bid for a second term in office.

Iorgiilim made the declaration during a reception organised for the Mbavarakaa people of Mbatiav in Gboko, where he described the governor’s re-election ambition as a “Mbavarakaa project” and a settled matter.

He also distributed relief materials to members of the community, explaining that the items were provided through the goodwill of Governor Alia, whom he described as a proud son of Mbavarakaa through his maternal lineage.

According to him, the governor donated the items through his office, and he considered it important to personally deliver the gesture to the people.

Iorgiilim urged the Mbavarakaa community to fully support Governor Alia’s second-term bid and cautioned against any actions capable of undermining the effort ahead of the 2027 elections.

He called on residents to distance themselves from individuals working against the governor’s interests, noting that re-electing Alia in 2027 would be the best way to appreciate his performance over the past three years, particularly the projects attracted to the community.
