SHEHU SANI REACTS FOLLOWING US VISA BOND POLICY ON NIGERIA

Former Kaduna Central Senator, Shehu Sani, has commented on the recent visa bond imposed on Nigerian travellers by the United States.
In a statement shared on his verified X account on Wednesday, Sani suggested that Nigerians bear responsibility for the imposition.
On Tuesday, the United States introduced a new set of travel restrictions affecting Nigerian visitors, including a requirement to post visa bonds of up to $15,000. The measures aim to ensure compliance with visa regulations and add further complexity to US entry procedures. This follows partial travel restrictions on Nigeria that came into effect just a week earlier.
Reacting to the development, Sani said:
“The $15,000 visa bond imposed on Nigerians is part of the dividends of what some Nigerians invited upon their country. If you tell the world that your family are witches, the world has to protect itself from your family.”
