Super Eagles striker Akor Adams has earned recognition for his sensational goal against Algeria, with the strike named among the top five goals of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

Adams scored Nigeria’s second goal in a thrilling 2-0 quarter-final victory over the Desert Foxes, led by coach Vladimir Petković.

Set up by teammate Victor Osimhen, the Sevilla forward skillfully dribbled past Algeria’s goalkeeper Luca Zidane before calmly slotting the ball into the net. The goal marked Adams’ second of the tournament.
