CHELLE CONFIRMS LOOKMAN IS STRUGGLING ON THE PITCH

Super Eagles coach Éric Chelle has commented on forward Ademola Lookman’s performances for Nigeria at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
Chelle highlighted Lookman’s outstanding impact during the group stage but acknowledged a dip in his form in the quarter-finals.
“He [Lookman] was excellent throughout the group phase, truly exceptional,” Chelle told the media.
“However, in the quarter-finals, it’s true he began to falter a little; physically he’s fine, but we could sense some fatigue.”
After the AFCON tournament, Lookman made a notable move, transferring from Atalanta to Atlético Madrid in January.
