ASABA 2026: POLICE GAMES SHOOTING EVENT TO HOLD FEBRUARY 15–19 IN DELTA

The 15th Biennial Nigeria Police Games, tagged “ASABA 2026,” will feature a shooting event from Sunday, February 15 to Thursday, February 19, 2026, organisers have announced.

The event will be held daily from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

This was disclosed in a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, Delta State Command, SP Bright Edafe, and made available to journalists in Warri on Saturday.

According to the statement, the shooting competition will take place at Base 31, Police Mobile Force Shooting Range, along Kwale Road in Ogwashi-Uku, Delta State.

“The exercise will involve the controlled use of firearms strictly within the designated range,” the statement said.

It added that all necessary safety and operational measures have been put in place, urging members of the public not to panic.

The Command further stated that access to the immediate vicinity of the range will be temporarily restricted during the period of the event, advising residents and road users to comply with all safety and traffic directives.

The Commissioner of Police, Delta State Command, Aina Adesola, assured the public of the Command’s commitment to safety and professionalism, while appreciating residents for their understanding and cooperation.
