The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oluyole Local Government Area of Oyo State has elected Prince Dotun Oladipupo as its new chairman.
In a statement shared with the media on Saturday, party chieftain and former council chairman Alhaji Kehinde Olaosebikan said Oladipupo’s emergence followed the conclusion of the party’s local government congress at Olomi Primary School.
Olaosebikan described the election as a “bold step toward fulfilling the local government’s pledge to triple its votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 election.” He congratulated the new chairman and his executives, highlighting Oladipupo’s popularity, competence, and leadership skills as key to strengthening the party’s performance across all areas.
“Our new chairman is a square peg in a square hole,” Olaosebikan said. “He is a seasoned politician, a committed party man, an excellent team player, and a man of the people. His leadership will significantly boost the party’s effectiveness, particularly at the polls.”
He also thanked APC members and leaders in Oluyole for their support and dedication in ensuring capable and committed party members were elected to the executive.
Alongside Prince Dotun Oladipupo, the new executive includes Alhaji Mumeen Oriade as Secretary, Kikelomo Akinleye as Woman Leader, Tunde Garuba as Youth Leader, and Saheed Akilapa as Publicity Secretary, among others.
