Responding to post-election commentary, he clarified his stance in a pointed post on his official X account, stating:

“The real Nigerians have now spoken for themselves; not those posing for cameras in front of the National Assembly claiming to represent Nigerians; not journalists unfamiliar with polling units in their own villages, sitting comfortably in studios while claiming to speak for Nigerians; and not the clueless opposition asserting they speak for Nigerians.”

He emphasized the need to separate personal views from national representation, noting:

“Everyone or any group has the right to their opinions, but no one should claim to speak for ‘Nigerians’ without a clear mandate to back such a claim.”

Keyamo further urged individuals and organizations to be transparent about their viewpoints when speaking publicly:

“When expressing your opinion, clearly indicate that it reflects your personal belief or the stance of your NGO or organization, but do not present yourself as a collective voice representing the majority of ‘Nigerians’. That is my point.”

The Media reports that the FCT area council elections, conducted on Saturday across all six councils Abuja Municipal Area Council, Bwari, Gwagwalada, Kuje, Abaji, and Kwali were largely peaceful, with voters turning out in significant numbers and results starting to be collated and announced on Sunday.

The elections, which decide local leadership, are widely regarded as a key indicator of political influence within the Federal Capital Territory.
