TURKEY: NWAIWU AND ONUACHU SHINE AS TRABZONSPOR OVERCOMES FATIH KARAGUMRUK

Nigerian stars Chibuike Nwaiwu and Paul Onuachu led Trabzonspor to a 3-1 win over Fatih Karagumruk at Papara Park on Friday night.
Onuachu opened the scoring in the 20th minute, marking his 18th league goal of the season for Trabzonspor, before Daniel Verde equalised for Karagumruk in the 26th minute.
Trabzonspor regained the lead just two minutes into the second half through Nwaiwu, who then added another goal in the 50th minute, assisted by Onuachu, completing the Black Sea Storm’s victory.
For the season, Nwaiwu has tallied two goals and one assist in six league appearances.
The win lifts third-placed Trabzonspor to 48 points from 24 games, four behind Fenerbahce, who still have a match in hand.
