Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday affirmed that Israel, in coordination with the United States, is committed to dismantling Iran’s nuclear and missile capabilities.

Speaking on the third day of the aerial campaign, Netanyahu visited the site of an Iranian missile strike in Beit Shemesh that killed nine people. He stated that the area had been “bombarded by the terrorists in Tehran” and emphasised, “The tyrants of Tehran target civilians; we target the tyrants of Tehran to protect civilians.”

Netanyahu said the ongoing Operation Roaring Lion aims to safeguard Israel and others by neutralising “existential threats.” Referring to his earlier warning that Europe could be targeted, he noted, “They fired yesterday at a large part of the countries of the region,” highlighting that an Iranian drone had struck a British military base in Cyprus on Sunday.

He described Iran’s leadership as a “terrorist regime unlike any we’ve seen in the world” and cautioned that Tehran’s access to nuclear weapons and delivery systems, including ballistic and intercontinental missiles, “will threaten all of humanity.”

Despite these strikes, Iran has continued retaliatory actions following the February 28 deaths of its supreme leader Ali Khamenei and other senior officials on the first day of the US-Israel operation. Attacks have targeted locations across the region, including Bahrain, Iraq’s Kurdistan Region, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.
