FRSC UNVEILS PROGRAM TO STRENGTHEN DISCIPLINE AND ADDRESS MISCONDUCT IN KATSINA

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Katsina State Command on Tuesday conducted a high-level sensitization program on administrative and operational misconduct, aimed at promoting discipline, professionalism, and operational efficiency within the Corps.
The initiative aligns with the directive of the Corps Marshal, Shehu Mohammed, as part of an ongoing institutional reform agenda designed to enhance service delivery across commands nationwide.
The program was facilitated by Corps Commander Aya Celestine Anzewu from the Department of Training, National Headquarters, Abuja, who represented Mohammed.
Addressing participants, Mohammed emphasized the critical importance of strict adherence to the Service Compact with All Nigerians Charter, highlighting that fairness, transparency, accountability, and timeliness must guide all operational activities of the Corps.

He stated, “The credibility of the FRSC rests on our discipline and professionalism. We must continue to uphold the principles of fairness, transparency and accountability in all our service delivery processes.”
He explained that the sensitisation programme was designed to consolidate internal discipline and ethical standards, strengthen command and supervisory mechanisms, and deepen a culture of integrity and mutual respect among personnel.
He said enhancing public trust and confidence in FRSC operations remains a key priority of the present leadership.
The program included interactive lectures, facility inspections, stakeholder consultations, and on-the-spot operational assessments, all designed to identify systemic gaps and implement corrective measures to enhance overall performance.
In his address, Katsina State Sector Commander, Corps Commander Maxwell Lede, reaffirmed the command’s dedication to professionalism and ethical conduct.
“We pledge our unwavering commitment to delivering professional, humane, transparent, and efficient road safety services to all Nigerians. This command will continue to uphold the highest standards of integrity and operational excellence,” he stated.
He noted that the sensitization program would further reinforce institutional integrity and boost operational effectiveness within the Katsina Command.
The FRSC Katsina State Command reiterated its determination to align all activities with the core values of the Corps while ensuring enhanced service delivery to road users across the state.
The initiative is part of ongoing reforms within the FRSC aimed at strengthening discipline, professionalism, and public confidence in the Corps’ operations nationwide.
In recent months, the Corps’ leadership has intensified internal training and monitoring mechanisms to address operational misconduct and improve service delivery to road users.
