LAGOS APC EXCUTIVE MEMBER DIES HOURS BEFORE INAUGURATION

The newly elected Assistant Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State, Yesiro Karamo, has died.

The Media reports that Yesiro Karamo was part of the executive committee led by Chairman Cornelius Ojelabi, elected by consensus at the Lagos State APC congress held Tuesday at Mobolaji Johnson Stadium, Onikan, Lagos.

His death comes just hours before his scheduled inauguration with other executives at the Lagos APC Secretariat on Thursday.

The Lagos APC confirmed Yesiro Karamo’s death in a statement released to PUNCH Online on Thursday by the party’s Publicity Secretary, Seye Oladejo.

“The Lagos State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) received with profound shock and deep sorrow the sudden passing of our newly elected Assistant Publicity Secretary, Karamo Yesiro,” the statement read.

Yesiro’s death is a tragic loss for the party, coming at a time when his energy, dedication, and passion for progressive politics were greatly needed.

“Having just been entrusted with a role in the State Executive Council, Yesiro Karamo exemplified dedication, loyalty, and an unwavering belief in the ideals of our party,” the Lagos APC said.

The party highlighted his contributions to the growth and stability of the APC in Lagos State, which led to his election as Assistant Publicity Secretary.

“Although his tenure was tragically cut short, his enthusiasm, humility, and willingness to serve left a lasting impression on colleagues and members alike. He was a vibrant party member whose impact on the party’s development in Lagos will not be forgotten.

“The Lagos APC stands united in mourning this painful loss. Hon. Karamo Yesiro will be remembered for his service, commitment, and dedication to the progressive cause,” the statement added.
