FORMER SENATE MINORITY LEADER PHILIP ADUDA DEFECTS TO APC, PLEDGES SUPPORT FOR TINUBU IN FCT

Senator Philip Tanimu Aduda, former Senate Minority Leader in the 9th National Assembly who represented the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has officially defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The development was announced via the party’s official X handle, which also stated that Aduda pledged to secure victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the FCT ahead of the 2027 elections.

He was formally welcomed into the APC by the National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, alongside members of the party’s National Working Committee.

The move follows Aduda’s recent resignation from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), which he attributed to ongoing internal crises within the party.
