The Anambra State Women Leader of the City Boy Movement, Ifeatu Soludo, has met with local government women coordinators and their deputies across the state’s 21 local government areas as part of efforts to strengthen grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections.
During the engagement, Soludo emphasised the need for commitment and strategic coordination, noting that the movement’s agenda is time-bound and demands strong dedication from its members.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, she highlighted the critical role of women in advancing the objectives of the political support group. She also commended the participants for their passion and dedication, noting that the meeting, held on Monday, was aimed at reinforcing their shared goals and strengthening the movement’s structure at the grassroots level.
The statement noted that she held an engaging and productive session with the City Boy Local Government Women Coordinators and their deputies across the 21 local government areas of Anambra State.
She explained that the agenda is time-bound and requires unwavering commitment to achieving excellence.
According to her, women remain the backbone of the mission, adding that she is inspired by the passion, dedication, and energy demonstrated by the group.
Soludo further stated that the City Boy Movement is rooted in strategic progressivism, expressing confidence in the pivotal role of women in advancing its goals.
“I am proud to lead Anambra women on this important journey. History awaits. It is indeed City Boy season,” she said.
Earlier, on February 26, it was reported that the Anambra State governor’s daughter had been appointed as the state women’s leader of President Bola Tinubu’s political support group, the City Boy Movement.
A statement issued by the Anambra State Media Director of the group confirmed her as the coordinator of the women’s wing in the state. The development was also corroborated by a media aide to the governor, Daniel Ezeigwe, who noted that she would oversee the activities of the group’s women’s arm across Anambra State.
