Nollywood actor and filmmaker Kunle Afod has criticised Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa over the deteriorating condition of infrastructure and public services in Ose Local Government Area.
Afod, who said he had appealed to the government for nearly a month without response, publicly renewed his call on Monday, accusing authorities of neglecting the welfare of residents.
He lamented the prolonged lack of electricity in several communities, noting that some have been without power for about 20 years, while Idoani has remained in darkness for eight years.

Highlighting the situation in education, Afod pointed to the poor state of schools in the area, stating that many teachers have left and children are no longer attending classes due to the conditions. He also decried the absence of accessible roads linking the communities.
The actor further criticised the healthcare system, alleging that general hospitals in Idoani have been shut down, leaving residents without adequate medical services. He added that there are no functioning commercial banks in the area.
Afod called on the governor to engage relevant political leaders, including the local government chairman and lawmakers, to address the challenges, questioning how long residents of Ose LGA would continue to endure such conditions.
