BREAKING: 17 ADC REPS JOIN OBI AND KWANKWASO IN NDC

About 17 members of the House of Representatives elected under the African Democratic Congress (ADC) have defected to the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC).
The announcement was made on Tuesday by Speaker Tajudeen Abbas on the floor of the House.
The Speaker also confirmed that Leke Abejide has left the ADC for the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The lawmakers who moved to the NDC include Yusuf Datti, Uchenna Okonkwo, Adamu Wakili, Thaddeus Attah, George Ozodinobi, Lilian Orogbu, Oluwaseyi Sowunmi, Peter Aniekwe, Mukhtar Zakari, George Oluwande, and Munachim Umezuruike, among others.
Others are Emeka Idu, Jesse Onuakalusi, Ifeanyi Uzokwe, Afam Ogene, and Abdulhakeem Ado.
The development comes just a day after former presidential candidates Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso also left the ADC for the NDC, where they pledged to continue their push for a better Nigeria.
