Lagos State Deputy Governor and All Progressives Congress governorship candidate for the 2027 election, Obafemi Hamzat, has met with the General Overseer of the Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries, Pastor Lazarus Muoka.

Hamzat disclosed the meeting in a post on Wednesday, saying discussions centred on the shared responsibility of building a Lagos that works for all residents.

According to the deputy governor, the meeting also focused on the importance of collective efforts in creating a better future for the state.

“I spent time today with Pastor Lazarus Muoka at The Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries,” Hamzat said.

“We spoke about our shared responsibility to build a Lagos that works for everyone and the importance of working together to achieve this,” he added.

Hamzat said his vision remained centred on public service and creating a better future for Lagos residents.

“Our vision remains rooted in service and a commitment to creating a better future for every resident. I will continue to listen and work with others to make this vision a reality,” he said.

The meeting comes as political activities intensify in Lagos ahead of the 2027 governorship election. Hamzat emerged as the APC’s governorship candidate after winning the party’s primary election in May 2026.

He is set to contest the election alongside Damilola Sonayon-James, who was presented as the APC’s deputy governorship candidate in June.
