ANAMBRA HOTEL WHERE BODY OF TEENAGER WAS FOUND FLOATING IN ABANDONED POOL SEALED

The Anambra State government on Thursday, sealed Cosmila Hotels facilities pending the outcome of investigation into the murder of one Ms Chinyere Awuda who was allegedly killed within the hotel premises and her body dumped in an abandoned swimming pool in the premises.
The Commissioner for Entertainment and Tourism, Don Onyenji while addressing the press stated that it is sad that the hotel has not registered with the ministry to enable the ministry monitor its activities.
He added that having operated illegally, the hotel will not be opened until the police concludes their investigation, and bring all the culprits to justice.
The MD/CEO of Awka Capital Territory Development Authority (ACTDA), Ossy Onuko called on hoteliers in the state capital to regulate the activities in their facilities to conform with acceptable standards. Hec also urged them to register with the Ministry of Culture, Entertainment and Tourism in the state.
The operations manager of the hotel, Stanley Akunezili, claimed that he wasn’t around at the time the incident occurred but was briefed by the club manager.
