NPFL: KANO PILLARS APPOINTS MAIKABA AS NEW HEAD COACH

Abdullahi Maikaba has been unveiled as the New Technical Adviser of Kano Pillars Football Club after penning a two-year contract.

The experienced tactician will now work with Abubakar Abubakar (Senior), Chief Coach; Ahmad Garba Yaro Yaro, Coach; Gambo Muhammad, Assistant Coach and Auwalu Abbas, Goalkeeper trainer.

Unveiling the New Technical Adviser in his Office, Kano State Deputy Governor Comrade Aminu AbdulSalam Gwarzo charged him to tighten his belt to revive the glory of the club.

Comrade Aminu AbdulSalam Gwarzo congratulated him and described his appointment as timely considering his vast experience in football coaching at various football clubs across the country.

The Deputy Governor pledged the state Government’s determination to continue to support the team morally and financially in order to meet the set objective and assured that the Kano State government would soon swing into action in renovating Sani Abacha Stadium kofar mata Kano.

He commended the management and players of the club for their hardwork which led the club return to the Nigeria Professional Football League.

Gwarzo appreciated the supporters of the club and good people of Kano State for their untiring support and prayers to the team and urged them to sustain the tempo.

Earlier, the Chairman of the club Alhaji Babangida Umar Little Said the appointment of Maikaba was based on merit adding that they have confidence that he will move the club forward.

Responding, the newly Technical Adviser Coach Abdullahi Maikaba thanked management of the club for having confidence in him and pledged to justify the confidence reposed in him.
