GOV. ABIODUN ASSURES COMPLETION OF AGBARA-ATAN-LUSADA ROAD IN SIX MONTHS
The Agbara-Atan-Lusada Road is presently being built, and Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun has promised that it will be finished in the upcoming nine months.
When Abiodun announced this at Ota on Saturday during the 31st Iganmode Day celebration, he also promised that his administration will investigate the Ota-Idiroko Road and other township roads under the local government.
He stated that the Agbara-Atan-Lusada road’s completion, along with others in the axis, is necessary to guarantee Ota’s continued national leadership position.
The governor went on to say that the state’s road reconstruction efforts thus far have demonstrated the administration’s commitment to ensuring the people’s speedy development and economic prosperity.
“The road that we are constructing, which is the major road in this local government, Agbara-Atan-Lusada road, that road will be completed in the next nine months by God’s grace,” he said.
He also mentioned that the Lagos-Ota-Abeokuta Road repair would soon get underway thanks to the Federal Executive Council’s recent clearance.
“Now, you know that in the last few weeks, we managed to get the Federal Executive Council to approve that the construction of Lagos-Ota-Abeokuta Road be transferred to the Ogun State Government. We have been fighting this for the last four years since I assumed office; myself and my colleague in Lagos State.
“The battle is not yet over, but at least we have won round one. By the grace of God, we will continue to win,” the governor said.
Additionally, he declared that his administration would never waver in its commitment to honouring the rich cultural legacy of the state.
He declared that the preparations to expand the Lagos Blue Rail Line from Okokoomaiko to Agbara were completed and guaranteed that Ota would be among the first few places to experience a continuous supply of electricity as part of the Light Up Ogun Project.
He added that his administration planned to break ground on the Deep Seaport in Ogun Waterside Local Government and the Dry Port in Kajola as soon as possible.
The governor stated that due to his administration’s collaborative determination to keep the state open to successful investments, Ogun State would soon rise from its current ranking of third place in the nation to second place in Internally Generated Revenue (IGR).
