
GUNMEN KIDNAP TRADITIONAL RULER, 20 OTHERS IN TARABA
In the early hours of Tuesday, gunmen suspected to be kidnappers abducted 21 people including a traditional ruler in the pupule area of Yorro local government in Taraba state.
According to locals in the area, the gunmen invaded the community around 2am and took away 21 members of the community.
It was reported that during the operation, HRH. Alhaji Umaru Abubakar Nyala, the area’s second-class chief, along with his son and pregnant daughter and an orderly, were abducted.
“21 members of our community here in Pupule, Yorro local were kidnapped this morning. The gunmen invaded our community around 2am and carried out the attack.
“They kidnapped a 2nd class chief of our area, HRH. Alhaji Umaru Abubakar Nyala, his son and pregnant daughter as well as the orderly” the source narrated.
The attack was also confirmed by Usman Abdullahi, the PPRO, and the Taraba State Police Command.
