AFCON 2023: YUSUF RULED OUT OF SUPER EAGLES MATCH AGAINST COTE D’IVOIRE

Super Eagles head coach, Jose Peseiro has revealed Alhassan Yusuf will miss the side’s clash with Cote d’Ivoire due to i injury.
Yusuf sustained a thigh injury in Super Eagles’ 1-1 draw with Equatorial Guinea on Sunday.
The Royal Antwerp player was replaced by Southampton midfielder Joe Aribo on 68 minutes.
“Yusuf is out of the game against against Cote d’Ivoire. We hope he will be able to play the next game against Guinea-Bissau,” Peseiro told a press conference on Wednesday.
“The good thing is that it is not a serious injury. He did the test yesterday and it was not something serious.”
The 23-year-old is expected to be replaced in the starting line-up by Aribo or Kelechi Iheanacho.
