
LABOURER DOCKED IN KANO FOR STEALING MOSQUE’S AMPLIFIER
Abdullahi Garba, 36, a worker, was docked in a Kano State Sharia Court on Monday for allegedly robbing a mosque of an amplifier valued at N80,000.
Garba was accused of theft and illegal trespassing. She lives in Kawon Lambu Hotoro, Nasarawa Local Government, Kano.
Inspector Abdullahi Wada, the prosecution’s attorney, informed the court that the matter was reported to the Hotoro Police Station on March 14.
Najib Hamisu, the complainant, who lives in Tishama Quarters, Hotoro, submitted the report.
According to Wada, the defendant broke into the mosque and took the $80,000 amplifier.
To the charge, the defendant entered a guilty plea.
The judge, Malam Umar Lawal-Abubakar, however, admitted the defendants to bail in the sum of N40,000 with one reliable shorty, who was a blood relation.
Lawal-Abubakar adjourned the matter until April 23 for trial.
