TRUCK DRIVER FLEEING FROM EXTORTIONISTS CRUSHES SOLDIER TO DEATH IN LAGOS
A yet-to-be-identified soldier has died after a truck from a logistics company ran over him at Orile bus stop, Iganmu, in Lagos on Tuesday, May 21.
The truck driver was reportedly fleeing from some extortionists who were demanding money from commercial bus drivers when he ran over the soldier. Seeing the damage he had caused, the driver tried to run away but some soldiers who were with the deceased pursued him to Mile 2 where he was eventually apprehended.
āThe truckās back tyre crushed the soldierās head. I couldnāt bear to look at the body again.” a trader in the area said

Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of the command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, said;
āAfter the incident, the DPO of Orile Police Station and his men visited the scene and saw the soldierās body. The soldiers returned with the truck and driver but took them and the soldierās body back to their barracks.ā
