According to the new case, Binance and Gambaryan were in violation of the law because they were not collecting and remitting certain taxes.

On March 22, 2024, the FIRS initially brought legal action against Binance, Gambaryan, and Nadeem on the grounds of alleged tax evasion.

According to the new case, Binance and Gambaryan were in violation of the law because they were not collecting and remitting certain taxes.

In order to allow both sides to submit written responses about the representative’s appearance in the dock, the court postponed the plea hearing to July 12th.

This development coincides with increased scrutiny of cryptocurrency activity in Nigeria, where Binance is being investigated separately and accused of money laundering and foreign exchange rate manipulation.
