LABBADIA YET TO FINALIZE SUPER EAGLES CONTRACT DESPITE NFF ANNOUNCEMENT
Bruno Labbadia is yet to sign any contract with the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, despite an official announcement from the football house.
The NFF in a statement on Tuesday morning, said Labbadia will become the next head coach of the national team.
“The NFF Executive Committee has approved the recommendation of its Technical and Development Sub-Committee to appoint Mr. Bruno Labbadia as the Head Coach of the Super Eagles. The appointment is with immediate effect,” the Secretary General of the NFF, Mohammed Sanusi, said.
However, it has emerged that the federation has not finalized contractual details with Labbadia.
The NFF are hoping to do so on Friday or over the weekend, to enable the German coach to take charge of the Eagles’ AFCON qualifier against the Republic of Benin on September 7.
Nigeria will play Rwanda three days later in the same qualifying series.
