Executive Secretary of the Board, Ajibola Taiwo, made this known in a statement issued to journalists in Abeokuta, the state capital, on Tuesday.
He disclosed that each of the affected pilgrims would receive N61,080.
He said, “The National Hajj Commission has already released the funds for onward disbursement to the affected pilgrims,”
“As everyone is aware, this refund is to cover some services that were not fully rendered during the holy pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia in 2023.”
Expressing their gratitude, two of the beneficiaries, Fatimo Toriola and Oladapo Jelili, commended the State Government for the timely refund.
They described the refund as unexpected and a testament to the exceptional efforts of the state government towards their welfare during the 2023 Hajj exercise.
