President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday extended his heartfelt congratulations to the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, on the occasion of his 75th birthday, celebrated on December 25.
In a statement issued by his spokesperson, Mr. Bayo Onanuga, the President praised Ganduje for his exemplary leadership, dedication, and significant contributions to the progress of Kano State and Nigeria at large.
Tinubu acknowledged Ganduje’s effective stewardship as APC National Chairman, which has resulted in electoral successes and strengthened the party’s unity and focus on achieving national development goals.
The President expressed gratitude for Ganduje’s policy advice, unwavering support, and commitment to the party’s vision. He encouraged him to continue his work with the same zeal and dedication.
Highlighting Ganduje’s extensive public service and steadfast advocacy for constitutional democracy, Tinubu commended his years of impactful contributions to Nigeria’s growth and governance.
“President Tinubu recalls Ganduje’s dedication to public service, including his early role as one of the pioneer civil servants managing the affairs of the Federal Capital Territory and his subsequent work as commissioner in Kano State in the 1990s.
“Dr Ganduje’s distinguished career in politics and governance began in 1979 with his involvement with the defunct National Party of Nigeria.
“Following the return to democracy in 1999, he served as deputy governor of Kano State and was later elected as governor in 2015 and 2019.
“As Governor of Kano State from 2015 to 2023, Ganduje made significant contributions as both an administrator and politician, leaving a lasting positive impact on the state,” said the President.
He joined family, friends, and party stalwarts to celebrate the leadership of APC’s National Chairman.
Tinubu extended his best wishes to Ganduje and prayed for his continued good health, happiness, and success in all future endeavours.
