TINUBU EXPRESSES SORROW OVER PASSING OF KANO KINGMAKER, ABBAS SANUSI
President Bola Tinubu has expressed profound sorrow over the death of Alhaji Abbas Sanusi, the Galadiman Kano and a prominent kingmaker in the Kano Emirate.
Sanusi, who passed away at the age of 92 following a long illness, is survived by numerous children and grandchildren, as confirmed by Mr. Bayo Onanuga, the President’s spokesman, on Wednesday.
One of his children is Alhaji Abdullahi Abbas, the Kano State chairman of the All Progressives Congress.
President Tinubu described the late Sanusi as a key figure in the traditional institution, whose contributions to its preservation and growth will be remembered not only in the Kano Emirate but beyond the state.
The President extended his condolences to the government and people of Kano State, the Kano Emirate Council, and the late chief’s family, offering prayers for his soul to find peace in Jannatul Firdaus.
