JUST IN: NLC SHUTS DOWN MINES MINISTRY OVER UNLAWFUL SACK OF WORKER

On Thursday, members of the Nigeria Labour Congress picketed the Federal Ministry of Mines and Steel Development’s Abuja office building.
The ministry was shut down by the labor union for not following a court ruling that mandated the reinstatement of Comrade Victor Ekpaha, a staff member who was allegedly wrongfully fired 20 years ago.
The employees are requesting that Ekpaha’s salary, benefits, and other allowances for the more than 20 years that the matter has persisted be paid in full.
