The casket of the late Pope Francis has arrived at the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore in Rome for burial.
His body was transported to Santa Maria Maggiore following a funeral service held at the Vatican.
Thousands of mourners lined the streets as the popemobile carried the Argentine’s coffin to his final resting place.
Pope Francis passed away on Monday at the age of 88, after serving as pope for 12 years.
He died from a stroke, followed by a coma and heart failure.
