POLICE WARNS AGAINST ILLEGAL CHARGES FOR TINTED PERMIT INSPECTIONS, URGES PUBLIC TO REPORT DEMANDS
The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has issued a public notice emphasizing that no additional payment is required for the physical inspection process related to tinted glass permit applications.
In an official statement, the NPF warned that any individual or official demanding extra fees for the inspection is acting unlawfully. Members of the public are urged to report such incidents immediately by calling the dedicated helpline: 09169907000.
Reaffirming its commitment to transparency, accountability, and public trust, the Force stated that the entire tinted permit process is designed to be free of corruption and undue financial burden on applicants.
The notice was also translated and shared in multiple Nigerian languages—including Pidgin, Igbo, Hausa, and Yoruba—to ensure wide accessibility and public awareness.
The Nigeria Police Force reiterated that it will not tolerate any form of extortion under the guise of administrative procedures, and it encourages citizens to play an active role in safeguarding integrity within the system.
