President Bola Tinubu has departed Saint Lucia for Brazil, continuing the second leg of his two-nation tour.
He is scheduled to participate in the 2025 BRICS Summit, taking place in Rio de Janeiro from July 6 to 7.
The President wrapped up his six-day state visit to the Caribbean nation, which began on June 28, and was seen off at the Hewanorra International Airport by Saint Lucian Prime Minister Philip Pierre.
During his stay, President Tinubu held bilateral meetings with Governor General Cyril Charles and Prime Minister Pierre.
On Monday, he addressed a special joint session of the Saint Lucian Senate and House of Assembly at Sandals Grande.
The visit marked a milestone in Nigeria–Saint Lucia relations, with both nations formalising diplomatic ties and signing a Technical Manpower Assistance Agreement, which will enable skilled Nigerian professionals to serve in the Caribbean nation.
President Tinubu is among four African leaders expected at the 17th BRICS Summit in Rio.
Others include the Presidents of Egypt, Ethiopia, and South Africa.
