The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu, has congratulated the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, on her 65th birthday, praising her record of public service and advocacy for women and children.

Kalu’s message, shared on his official X account on Sunday, described the First Lady as a compassionate leader whose life reflects a strong dedication to service.

He commended her journey from serving as Lagos State First Lady, to her three terms in the Senate, and her ongoing initiatives as Nigeria’s First Lady, especially in promoting women’s empowerment and youth development.

“Senator Oluremi Tinubu is a beacon of hope and inspiration to women in leadership. Her tireless advocacy for the girl child, empowering women, and the less privileged continues to inspire many,” Kalu said.

The Deputy Speaker also acknowledged her support for the Reserved Seats Bill in Parliament and lauded her role as a pillar of strength to President Bola Tinubu.

He prayed for wisdom, strength, and continued success for the First Lady in her service to the nation.

Earlier, President Bola Tinubu also paid tribute to his wife, describing her as his confidant, counsellor, and steady anchor through decades of political and personal trials.

As First Lady, Mrs. Tinubu has focused on social interventions, women-centred programmes, and youth empowerment through initiatives such as the Renewed Hope Initiative.
