TINUBU HAILS BISHOP OYEDEPO AT 71, PRAISES HIS IMPACT ON SPIRITUAL, EDUCATIONAL LANDSCAPE

President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo, on the occasion of his 71st birthday, lauding his decades of influence in Nigeria and beyond.
In a statement issued on Friday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President described the Presiding Bishop of Winners Chapel as “a towering figure of influence and impact in Nigeria, Africa, and beyond on spiritual, educational, and philanthropic platforms.”
Tinubu commended Oyedepo’s discipline and diligence since establishing the ministry in 1981, noting that these qualities have driven the global expansion of Living Faith Church Worldwide and fostered contributions to infrastructure, health, and education across cities and nations.
Highlighting Oyedepo’s investments in education, the President pointed to the Kingdom Heritage Schools, Faith Academy, and the two universities Covenant and Landmark which he said “continue to raise the standard of education, competing favourably with other global institutions.”
“You have built one of Africa’s most impactful Christian ministries from humble beginnings. Your steadfastness in the Word of Faith ministry is exemplary, birthing many ministries with resonating impact on key sectors of the economy,” Tinubu stated.
He added that Oyedepo’s contributions to nation-building through preaching, teaching, and service remain deeply appreciated by the government, describing him as “a pacesetter and symbol of a servant leader for many to emulate.”
Tinubu prayed for the cleric’s long life, good health, and continued wisdom to inspire individuals, families, and nations “with the Word of Faith.”
Oyedepo, one of Nigeria’s most influential Christian leaders, founded Living Faith Church Worldwide in 1981, with its headquarters at Faith Tabernacle in Ota, Ogun State.
