FG TO ARRAIGN SOWORE OVER ALLEGED FALSE POST AGAINST TINUBU

The Federal Government is poised to prosecute human rights advocate, Omoyele Sowore, on a five-count indictment for purportedly disseminating false social media communications regarding President Bola Tinubu.
The allegations, which also name X (formerly Twitter) Inc. and Meta (Facebook) as co-defendants, contend that Sowore utilized his verified X account to share a post deemed inaccurate and capable of inciting a disruption of public order.
The activist had stated: “This criminal @officialPBAT actually went to Brazil to state that there is no more corruption under his regime in Nigeria. What audacity to lie shamelessly! ”
