TRUMP IS HAPPY WITH OUR REFINERY- DANGOTE

Nigerian billionaire Aliko Dangote, who leads the Dangote Group, said that Donald Trump is “more than happy” with how the Dangote Refinery is running.
Dangote said there are no true rivals, and that the United States is actually a big supplier of crude oil to the refinery.
Because of how large the business is, the US benefits a lot from it.
During a press meeting on Sunday at the Dangote Petroleum Refinery in Lekki, Lagos State, he also mentioned that the refinery still depends on crude oil from Ghana and other countries. This is because Nigeria doesn’t produce enough crude oil on its own to meet its needs.
He explained that Nigeria has to get oil from nearby African countries and the US to fill the gap.
“We are not getting enough crude, so that’s why we buy from Ghana and a few other African countries. We also buy from the U.S.,” he said.
Dangote said the United States is one of Nigeria’s main suppliers of crude oil. He also said there is no truth to the idea that U.S. President Donald Trump is upset with how the Dangote Refinery is running or the way funding for it is arranged. He explained that the U.S. benefits a lot from the trade because Nigeria buys a lot of crude oil from the country.
“The U.S. has been one of our major suppliers of crude, which is why when someone says Trump is not happy with our refinery, it’s not true. Trump is more than happy with our refinery because of the scale of business involved,” Dangote said.
He said that Nigeria buys an average of at least 100 million barrels of crude oil from the U.S. every year, and that this number could go up to about 200 million barrels per year if the supply is doubled.
Dangote also mentioned that Nigeria provides the U.S. with aviation fuel and gasoline, showing how both countries gain from their trade relationship.
