SUPER FALCONS GOALKEEPER CHIAMAKA NNADOZIE MOURNS BROTHER’S DEATH

Super Falcons goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie, has been thrown into mourning following the death of her brother, who passed away on Monday.
The Nigerian international announced the loss in an emotional post shared on her Instagram page, paying tribute to her late brother and describing him as her source of strength and guidance.
In videos attached to the post, the deceased was seen holding Nnadozie’s recently won CAF Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year award at the ceremony held in Morocco, a moment that has since drawn widespread sympathy from fans and colleagues.
“Forever in my heart, big brother. Your laughter echoes in my soul… Losing you is a pain like no other, but I’ll honour your life by living mine with courage,” the goalkeeper wrote in part.
Following the announcement, tributes and condolence messages poured in across social media. Super Falcons defender, Michelle Alozie, wrote, “May God be with you and your whole family.”
In a statement, The Super Falcons Show expressed sympathy, saying, “With heavy hearts, we extend our deepest sympathies to Super Falcons goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie, following the loss of her brother. Our thoughts and prayers are with Chiamaka and her family.”
Other fans and supporters also offered prayers, with one John Zacheus writing, “May his soul rest in peace.”
The bereavement comes during what has otherwise been an outstanding year for Nnadozie. In 2025, she moved from Paris FC to Brighton Women in England, further cementing her reputation as one of Africa’s finest goalkeepers.
She also won her third consecutive CAF Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year award and earned nominations for The Best FIFA Women’s Goalkeeper and the International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS) Women’s World Best Goalkeeper awards.
