AFCON 2025: LOOKMAN JOINS NIGERIA’S ELITE GOAL SCORERS

Ademola Lookman has joined the elite ranks of Nigerian top scorers at the Africa Cup of Nations after scoring in the Super Eagles’ victory over Mozambique on Monday.
The Atalanta forward now has six goals for Nigeria in AFCON tournaments. He previously scored three times at the last edition in Côte d’Ivoire and has added three more goals in the current tournament in Morocco.
Lookman is now level with former Nigerian forwards Segun Odegbami and Julius Aghahowa on six AFCON goals.
Rashidi Yekini remains Nigeria’s all-time top scorer at the tournament with 13 goals, while Austin Okocha ranks second with seven goals.
